BudgetSignal

How can we help?

Practical answers for BudgetSignal. It works without an account and stores your financial records on your device. Optional analytics and feedback you submit are sent separately.

Send feedback from the app.
Open More → Feedback, choose New feedback, then describe the problem or idea. Submitted items can show replies from the support team when they are available.

Feedback and screenshots

BudgetSignal sends the title and details you enter when you submit feedback. A screenshot is optional. Review it before sending because it may show financial information. Ledger records are not attached automatically.

Feedback is private to your device and the support team. It is not a public forum. Do not include passwords, payment-card numbers, or other secrets in a message.

CSV import and export

Before importing changes or moving transactions between tools, export your CSV first from More → Data Management. Keep that file in a place you control before importing changes. Import only files you recognise, and review the preview before saving records.

Local data and backups

Financial records are stored locally. Optional analytics and feedback are separate; feedback screenshots may show financial information. Export any transactions you need before deleting the app or changing devices. A transaction CSV is not a full app backup: it does not preserve budgets, goals, settings or personal automations. The developer cannot restore financial records from the feedback service.

Automations

BudgetSignal actions are available in Apple Shortcuts. Personal automations must use BudgetSignal actions. Automations created for an older app are not updated automatically.
